Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Training

Reiki is a safe, gentle and non-intrusive hands-on healing technique which you can use to heal yourself or others. It uses spiritual energy to treat physical ailments without using pressure, massage or manipulation. It is more than a physical therapy, it is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of the body. It works on all levels – body, mind, emotional and spirit. Reiki is also a tool for personal and spiritual advancement.

What does Reiki mean?

Reiki is made up of two Japanese words and is pronounced RAY KEY. Rei is translated as the wisdom and knowledge of all the universe. It means the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the Universe. Sometimes translated simply as universal.

Ki is the life force energy which flows through every living thing. This is known as chi in China, prana in India and Mana in Hawaiian.

When we become low in Chi we start to become ill, tired or may lack concentration. When chi is flowing freely we feel healthy.

Ki is understood well by those practising martial arts.

Reiki is taught in four levels.

Reiki Level 1

This is taught over two days, usually a weekend

• Self treatment including practical
• Treatment of others including practical
• The Reiki attunements

Reiki Level 2

This is taught over two days, usually a weekend

• The Reiki symbols, origins, meanings and uses
• Creating a healing space
• Distance healing
• Mental/emotional healing
• Practical session using the symbols
• Chakra balancing
• Reiki and the law
• Reiki code of ethics
• Reiki 2 attunements

Advanced Reiki Level 3 - Master Practitioner

This is a 1 day workshop

• Review of Reiki Level 2
• Responsibilities of Mastership
• Reiki transformational tools and techniques
• Reiki Master symbols, descriptions and uses
• Practical sessions using the master symbols
• Reiki Master attunements
• Japanese Techniques

Cost: £250 including a comprehensive manual and certificate

Reiki Master/Teacher Level

This is taught over a number of days tailored to the individual student

• Review of prior Reiki learning and development
• Responsibilities of teaching Reiki
• How to attune at Reiki 1,2,3 and 4
• Practice giving attunements
• Preparation of manuals and teaching materials
• Running workshops
• Co-teaching experience
• Reiki Master transformational tools and techniques
